EMS-Cortex Offers Cortex 6.0
August 4, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting software provider EMS-Cortex (ems-cortex.com) recently announced version 6.0 of its flagship product Cortex.
EMS-Cortex has made a number of architectural changes to its platform with the aim of making it more adaptable to service providers and resellers. Cortex 6.0 can now support multiple active directories enabling service providers to offer cost effective dedicated hosting solutions, or to manage a customer’s active directory remotely. EMS-Cortex has also added support for multiple instances of services for each customer and significantly reduced the time it takes to implement new services.
In addition, Cortex Release 6.0′s support for Microsoft Exchange has been further enhanced with added features for mailbox and public folder resource management where customers can be allocated a block of mailbox resource, which they can then share out amongst their users in whatever configuration suits them. The updated platform also supports provisioning of Blackberry 4.1, which adds value to standard Hosted Exchange offerings.
Established in 1996, EMS-Cortex is a New Zealand-based IT company that produces Cortex, a secure application provisioning platform for managed services.
