(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Several web hosting providers announced this week that they have partnered with SmarterTools to distribute its mail, analytics and SEO software solutions. According to separate press releases, web hosts CtrlS Solutions, DMEHosting, and Thaibiz signed new partnership agreements with SmarterTools, while PowerDNN and E-Globalfocus Sdn Bhd have renewed their exisiting partnerships.
The press releases claim that SmarterTools is a cost-effective alternative to Microsoft Exchange, and many of the partners offer customers the SmarterTools software for free.
Based in India, CtrlS Solutions says this partnership will help its presence in the hosting solutions space. With SmarterTools, CtrlS will offer SmarterMail on all VPS and dedicated servers free of charge for the first 250 mailboxes. The company will also have access to partner benefits and discounts on a pay-as-you-go model.
DMEHosting will offer the SmarterBundle Professional, a bundle of SmarterTools products including SmarterMail, SmarterStats web analytics tool, and SmarterTrack, a customer service and support system that tracks and resolves incidents. SmarterTools launched SmarterTrack.com in October so customers could use its help desk software in the cloud. According to Monday’s announcement, SmarterTools’ SmarterBundle Professional is valued at $800 if purchased separately.
PowerDNN announced on Tuesday that it will offer a bundle of SmarterTools software to dedicated server customers at no extra cost.
“SmarterTools builds the best-in-class products that any Web hosting company must offer to be competitive in today’s marketplace,” Tony Valenti, founder and CTO of PowerDNN said in a statement. “The combination of DotNetNuke hosting with SmarterTools software gives our customers everything they need to run the online portion of their business.”
Thailand hosting provider Thaibiz announced on Monday that it is now a reseller of the SmarterTools product line including SmarterMail, SmarterTrack and SmarterStats.
Malaysian web host E-Globalfocus Sdn Bhd says it will continue its partnership with SmarterTools as an active reseller and will offer its customers the SmarterTool software at no additonal cost.
“We are very excited about this partnership, as it gives E-Globalfocus customers access to SmarterTools products that suit their business needs,” Matthew Tan, CTO of E-Globalfocus Sdn Bhd said in a statement. “In addition, it allows us to bundle our hosting solutions with the SmarterMail mail server, which is very user friendly.”
