January 22, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Business email service provider The Electric Mail Company Inc. (ElectricMail.com) announced on Wednesday that Ian McDonald has been appointed to the position of president with the company.

Since joining Electric Mail as vice president of sales in August 2000, says the company, McDonald has more than doubled quarterly annuity revenues through strategic positioning and niche market identification. In the same period, the company grew core hosting revenues by more than 250 percent, grew US revenues from less than 25 percent to more than 55 percent of overall revenues and launched a full-scale reseller program.

McDonald brings more than 25 years of technology sales experience and corporate management to the new position, says Electric Mail. His previous work included senior sales and management positions with leading service providers including Williams Communications, Telus Mobility, Unitel Communications and MCK Communications.
