March 9, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Outsourcig giant EDS (eds.com) announced on Tuesday that it has named consulting expert John Egan to the new post of vice president of business development for China.

Based in Shanghai, Egan will be responsible for advancing the strategic agenda of the EDS enterprise in China, including growth of its core outsourcing business. Egan was also named A.T. Kearney's, managing director for greater China. A.T. Kearney is a management consulting subsidiary of EDS.

"John's broad management capabilities will strengthen our foundation in China for EDS and A.T. Kearney, signalling our commitment and accelerating our ability to serve clients and grow profitably in the world's fastest growing market," EDS CEO Michael Jordan said. "China holds great interest for multinational companies based in the US and Europe, regions where John has vast experience and valuable business relationships."
