December 19, 2001 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — EDS (eds.com) today announced $250 million in contract signings with clients around the world.

The contracts announced today, terms of which were not disclosed, include:

A five-year agreement with Home Depot to upgrade its Canadian
r
payroll system and migrate its U.S. and Puerto Rico subsidiaries to the
r
improved single common payroll platform. EDS will also assume payroll
r
processing responsibility for Home Depot’s Canadian, U.S. and Puerto Rico
r
subsidiaries in 2002′s first quarter. The agreement will enable Home Depot’s
r
payroll department to deliver single system-driven payroll check processes
r
for all North American employees.

An expanded agreement with BellSouth under which EDS will provide
r
additional mid-range systems management services. As a result of the
r
agreement, EDS will assume responsibility for operating BellSouth’s Internet
r
Delivery Services Group in Tucker, Ga.

An eight-year extension with Telecom New Zealand to supply and
r
manage 7,400 desktop PCs and laptops. The agreement will allow Telecom to
r
gain efficiencies and cut costs in its managed work environment.

New agreements for eBreviate enterprise procurement and sourcing
r
tools with Aquanima in Spain and ProcuraDigital in Latin America. The
r
agreements contributed to the most successful month in the history of
r
eBreviate, an eSourcing leader and part of the new A.T. Kearney Procurement
r
Solutions unit. In November eBreviate signed more new business and more
r
global contracts and delivered more cost savings to clients than in any
r
previous month. In addition, the new accounts moved the company’s customer
r
base to 101.
