Ecwid Partners with Automattic to Launch Business Integration

Ecommerce application provider Ecwid announced on Tuesday that its integrated Ecwid solution is now available for Business users.

Used by over 400,000 retailers, Ecwid is distributed through a network of partners, and is also used by retailers on Facebook.

This announcement marks the first time that ecommerce will be available to Business users. Prior to this integration, Ecwid only provided a plugin for websites. Business was introduced nearly a year ago as a new hosting package for small businesses. The package includes live support, unlimited premium themes and unlimited storage for $299 per year, as well as all the features included in its Premium Bundle: a custom domain, advanced design tools and web fonts, video and audio uploads, and no ads.

Ecwid has successfully targeted SMBs through its Facebook integration, as well as its partnership last year with website builder Now, with Business integration, Ecwid has opened itself up to an even larger SMB base, a key market for ecommerce application adoption.

With Ecwid, merchants using Business will be able to operate storefronts across multiple sites, and manage them from a single control panel.
