(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Ecommerce, hosting and CDN solutions provider EC Suite (www.ecsuite.com) announced on Thursday it will build into the new Phoenix NAP (www.phoenixnap.com) data center, becoming an anchor tenant and locating its network operation center within the facility.
In June, data center operator Global Datacenter Trust (www.gdct.com) broke ground on the Phoenix NAP data center, a 160,000-square-foot redevelopment of an existing Phoenix building.
Located near 34th Street and University Drive, the facility is an ideal location in that there are relatively few natural hazards and is close to an international airport.
EC Suite will offer a wide-range of hosting services at Phoenix NAP, along with bandwidth and CDN solutions. The company will also represent the data center in a sales capacity.
“We are excited to leverage this next generation data center and all it offers to provide technology solutions that meet any market need,” says Dave Wales, senior director of sales for EC Suite. “One of the things we have learned from our experiences is it’s all about flexibility. While we have been fortunate to sell out our space in other data centers, the move to Phoenix NAP as an anchor tenant enables us to analyze the different power needs of each client and build hosting solutions accordingly.”
As an anchor tenant of Phoenix NAP data center, EC Suite will be able to grow out its colocated and managed hosting services, as well as expand its bandwidth, CDN and payment processing solutions, says Wales.
EC Suite will house its managed servers and at its core transaction processing systems at Phoenix NAP.
The move to Phoenix NAP will happen during the first quarter of 2010.
Headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, EC Suite provides e-commerce, content protection, wholesale IP transit, CDN, streaming, colocated and managed hosting.
