(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — UK managed hosting provider Easynet Global Services (www.easynet.com) announced on Wednesday it has established several new strategic partnerships and made key leadership appointments.
Operating on a partner-based model, Easynet says it combines its “extensive wholly-owned network” with strategic alliances in different geographies to ensure the most comprehensive coverage providing the best customer experience possible.
Easynet has partnered with Telstra International EMEA in Africa and Asia-Pacific, Tata in India and TDC in the Nordic region, which the company says will provide customers with greater flexibility, reduced costs and improved quality of service.
“It’s important for our customers to have an efficient network infrastructure wherever they do business around the world,” says Denis Planat, chief operating officer for Easynet Global Services. “These partnerships give us the best possible balance of local knowledge and geographical reach.”
The company also announced several appointments to its management team. Justin Fielder returns to Easynet in the role of chief planning and technology officer while Koen Vanpraet has been promoted to become global sales and marketing director.
Additionally, Vince Russell joined Easynet as group finance director, Phil Mullan has been appointed as UK managing director with support from Andrew Sumner as the new UK sales and marketing director.
In France Patrick Cason has been appointed as sales and marketing director.
After serving for three years at BSkyB’s Technology Group, Fielder returns to Easynet to continue his 12 years with the company. He will oversee the technology and planning activities across the company, including bringing product and solution innovation to market quickly.
Newly promoted to global sales and marketing director, Vanpraet will lead an integrated global sales and marketing strategy and drive the company’s international marketing agenda. He will focus on business development, strategic alliances, sales support and bid management, marketing strategy and will oversee the delivery of all aspects of customer communications.
In addition to serving as Easynet’s new group finance director, Russell also retains his role as director of finance, technology and enterprise at BSkyB.
