EarthLink Picks Ensim for VoIP Offering

September 21, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting automation software developer Ensim (ensim.com) announced on Wednesday that it had been selected by Internet service provider EarthLink (earthlink.net) to deploy its forthcoming nationwide residential voiceover IP offering.

Ensim’s solutions automate provisioning, management and deployment of Internet-based telephony services. The company says its technology enables service providers to rapidly scale their VoIP offerings by automating the service delivery process with flow-through provisioning of soft switches and feature servers, unified messaging, voice mail applications and CPE.

“As consumers adopt VoIP services, leading providers like EarthLink need solutions that are flexible, scalable and cost effective to build a successful and profitable business,” says Steve Howe, vice president of voice services for EarthLink. “After a rigorous evaluation process, Ensim VoIP emerged as the preferred solution to meet our critical criteria to help EarthLink build a world-class VoIP offering.”

Ensim completed the EarthLink implementation earlier this month. In June, Ensim added VoIP automation capabilities with the acquisition of TeleGea.
