Dynamic Net Partners to Integrate Cloud Linux Across Its Hosting Infrastructure

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Full-service hosting services provider Dynamic Net (www.dynamicnet.net) will integrate CloudLinux (www.cloudlinux.com), the only commercially supported Linux operating system optimized for hosting companies and data centers, across its hosting infrastructure.

Dynamic Net offers a full suite of hosting services including domain name registration, shared hosting, virtual private servers, dedicated hosting, as well as managed and un-managed dedicated servers and colocation.

According to CloudLinux’s Wednesday announcement, CloudLinux will enable Dynamic Net to increase its ability to deliver stability, reliability and a higher level of customer service to its customers.

A key factor in Dynamic Net’s decision to select CloudLinux is its core Lightweight Virtual Environment technology, which limits the amount of resources (such as CPU, I/O, memory) available to a group of processes the the kernel-level.

While similar to container type virtualization technology, LVE is completely transparent and lightweight. Once installed, LVE manages resources set by the hosting provider for the accounts on a server. It controls the CPU resources to ensure that each account on a shared server is allocated enough resources to run efficiently without jeopardizing the other tenants on that server, making the server more stable and delivering better performance.

“Dynamic Net will be able to take advantage of the unique solution that CloudLinux provides, ensuring competitive advantages over other hosting providers,” CloudLinux founder and chief executive officer Igor Seletskiy said in a statement. ”With our proven technology, service providers achieve higher performance and increased stability which equates to ultimately providing a higher level of service and support to their clients.”

LVE gives hosting providers like Dynamic Net the tools to control the CPU and IO demands of individual tenants, ensuring that a single site cannot slow or take down a whole server.

With LVE, CloudLinux can provide Increased density and capability per server without increasing risk, more efficient and stable servers, reduce the impact of unpredictable events like load spikes, and lower operational costs related to hardware, electricity, data center space and management costs. This all amounts to better performance, reliability and operational benefits for hosting providers, and, ultimately, better utilization of existing infrastructure.

CloudLinux is available at different price point to suit all types of hosting providers. For instance, it’s available for shared hosting providers at a tiered retail monthly price based on the number of servers under management. Additionally, the CloudLinux Partner Program offers discounts, competitive pricing and a support model designed to meet their specific requirements.
