(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator Digital Realty Trust (www.digitalrealtytrust.com) announced on Friday that it has already signed leases for more than 65,000 square feet of data center space at two of its newly-acquired facilities in Santa Clara.
The company leased an entire 40,300 square foot building at 1725 Comstock in Santa Clara to a “Internet enterprise customer”.
The data center REIT purchased the building in May for $14.1 million.
Digital Realty also leased 25,000 square feet of space at the two properties located at 3105 and 3115 Alfred Street to a tenant it called an “IT services provider who is an existing customer in other markets.”
The company acquired the two shell buildings, which total about 82,000 square feet, for $10 million back in May.
It added that it would redevelop the rest of the space as Turn-Key data center space.
