Dotster Targets MySpace Users

September 20, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain registration and Web hosting provider Dotster (dotster.com) announced on Wednesday it has launched PimpedEmail, a new email forwarding service specifically designed for music fans and anyone who frequents MySpace (myspace.com).

The service, which will be promoted through a new MySpace community advertising profile, is based on Dotster’s unique domain discovery system. Visitors to the service’s Web site can create unique domains through name searches, band searches, and exact match searches. The real-time tool will display domains that are unregistered at the time a search is performed.

Visitors can also enter the names of bands and click “Band Search” for matches. PimpedEmail’s Band Search feature is also designed for musicians using MySpace to promote their projects.

For $7.95 per year, customers can register the domains they find using the search tool and set up unlimited email forwarding aliases. For a small additional fee, customers can forward their domain name to their MySpace page, their favorite Web site or anywhere else they wish.
