PowerDNN founder and CEO Tony Valenti will speak at the conference Friday afternoon
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) –Web hosting provider PowerDNN announced on Friday that it has released its PowerGrid Global Cloud solution for DotNetNuke.
The announcement was timed with the DotNetNuke World conference, held in Orlando, that started on Wednesday and wraps up on Friday. PowerDNN is a platinum sponsor of the event, according to the press release.
DotNetNuke’s open source software and content management system have been used to deploy more than 700,000 websites worldwide. There have been more than 7 million downloads of its open source project. At the end of July, Mike Bishop, chief marketing officer at DotNetNuke, discussed version 6 of DotNetNuke’s ASP.NET content management system in an interview with the WHIR.
PowerDNN says its new solution leverages various enterprise technologies to provide a seamless web presence. According to the press release, on the PowerGrid Global Cloud, websites are deployed across multiple data centers in the US, Europe and Australia and customers are automatically routed to their nearest data center. PowerDNN says this delivers the fastest experience possible to end users as well as provides redundancy capabilities.
PowerDNN says that when a website is deployed on its PowerGrid Global Cloud, if a failure occurs, all users are automatically rerouted to the next fastest, available data center. It requires no intervention from system administrators and takes place in less than two minutes, according to the company.
“There are many companies who offer multi-server cloud solutions, but many of these solutions all reside within the same data center,” Tony Valenti, CEO of PowerDNN said in a statement. “International customers typically receive a second-class experience. While few companies can even fail over from one data center to another, we have raised the bar to create seamless redundancy between global data centers. We actively serve websites from multiple data centers and customers always visit the data center nearest to themselves. Regardless of geographic location, all customers receive a first-class experience.”
Valenti will be speaking at DotNetNuke World on Friday afternoon on the various technologies that enable global cloud solutions and will discuss the automated data synchronization and distribution required for cloud environments.
