(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — With the OpenForce Europe Conference set to take place next week in The Netherlands, the company behind DotNetNuke (www.dotnetnuke.com), the most popular web content management system and application development framework for building websites and online applications on Microsoft .NET, has announced Europe’s winners of the OpenForce Community Choice Awards.
Voted by the DotNetNuke community, the awards recognize the best web sites created using the DotNetNuke platform and winners will be officially recognized at DotNetNuke’s OpenForce ’09 Europe, a two-day, multi-track, professional developer conference held in conjunction with the Software Developer Network Conference (www.sdc.nl) on October 19th and 20th.
INTERDIGITAL (www.interdigital.es) won for the Best Overall Site and the Best Informational Site categories. Structure Sonores (www.structuresonore.eu) won for the Most Creative/Original Site, and Le Bazar de Wally (www.lebazardewally.com) for the Best eCommerce Site.
“We have been very impressed by the creativity and sophistication of all the websites participating in the OpenForce Community Choice Awards this year,” DotNetNuke co-founder and chief architect Shaun Walker said in a statement. “I particularly look forward to OpenForce Europe as an opportunity to come together, meet the winners, share best practices, and increase the knowledge and capabilities of the entire DotNetNuke community.”
Winners will receive an award plaque as well as recognition on the DotNetNuke website and at OpenForce ’09 Europe. The conference will also feature expert speakers from the DotNetNuke community and representatives from DotNetNuke Corporation, as well as interactive sessions, networking opportunities, evening festivities, and a professional exhibitor area.
