June 8, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet service and Web hosting provider Pipex Communications’s (pipex.net) subsidiaries Donhost (donhost.co.uk) and WebFusion (webfusion.co.uk) announced on Wednesday that they had introduced dedicated server plans with unlimited data transfer.
WebFusion says it will also offer a free Cisco PIX 501 or Cisco PIX 506 firewall to customers purchasing new servers. The offer is available while stock lasts.
“Until now the potential of Web sites and the Internet at whole has been constrained by the cost of bandwidth,” says Daniel Conlon, general manager of Donhost. “This new range of unmetered dedicated servers removes the worry and uncertainty over bandwidth bills and allows customers to realize immediate cost savings. Businesses can now reap the benefits of the latest broadband and rich media technologies which were previously too costly.”
Both Donhost and WebFusion offer dedicated servers for the Windows and Linux platforms.
Pipex Communications acquired Donhost in late April.
