DomainPeople has redesigned its website to accommodate its new offerings
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain name registrar DomainPeople (www.domainpeople.com) announced on Tuesday that it now offers cloud-based web hosting. DomainPeople has also redesigned its corporate website.
DomainPeople’s hosting is powered by FlexCloud, according to the press release.
According to the press release, CloudHost Primer, the first level of hosting offered by DomainPeople, is ideal for individuals and small businesses with 150GB of disk space. Available for Windows and Linux, this plan is $9.95 per month and includes free setup.
CloudHost PowerPack is for businesses and individual “power users” with unlimited bandwidth and disk space. This package is priced at $14.95 per month and includes free setup as well.
The plans include advanced web analytics, premium SEO products, and dedicated SSL certificates. Advanced email solutions are also available such as GigaMail.
DomainPeople says its hosting solutions are ecommerce enabled as its Merchant Manager suite gives businesses a powerful shopping cart solution with personalization capabilities, inventory tracking, and extremely fast checkout.
“We are very pleased to enter the hosting marketplace with our scalable platform powered by the FlexCloud back end system,” Chris Kruk, product manager at DomainPeople said in a statement. “By using a cloud computing infrastructure, we are able to protect our customer’s site performance from any spikes in traffic. Our cloud-based solution gives us a clear competitive advantage and the ability to flexibly adapt to customer demand. We also have the right mix of additional tools that businesses need for success, including database management, enhanced security options, and advanced site building applications.”
According to the press release, the new website includes an overhaul of the front and backend of the site.
“We were due for a website refresh and an upgrade to our backend system,” Kruk said. “Our new site accomplishes both goals, and we can now present a clean and fresh website that is integrated with our new user control panel. As we expand into more web services such as hosting, we knew our website needed to be both more dynamic and user friendly in order to attract customers.”
