Domain Central Drops Domain Prices

December 8, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Australian domain registrar and Web hosting provider Domain Central (domaincentral.com.au) announced on Thursday that it had reduced the price for top-level domain registrations and renewals from $24.50 to $12.50 AUS per year.

The new price is valid for registering or renewing any .com, .net, .org, .info, or .biz domain name.

Domain Central says Australian business should have at least one .com.au, .com, and co.nz domain for their Web site, and decided to reduce the domain name prices to encourage the practice.

“This new breakthrough TLD pricing is further reinforcement of our goal to establishing an industry trend in Australia, of giving customers the best value possible,” says George Pongas, chief operating officer of Domain Central.
