Verio Attracts Resellers with Free Month of VPS Hosting: Companies looking to boost revenues are finding Verio's Free VPS promotion the right fit for getting started as Hosting Reseller.

April 13, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Domain registrars were the fastest growing providers last month, with Dotster, Go Daddy and eNom taking the top three spots and adding more than half a million hostnames between them, Internet research firm Netcraft (netcraft.com) announced Tuesday.

In the first quarter of this year, Dotster grew 77.6 percent with 260,921 names. GoDaddy grew by 7.2 percent with 138,096 names, while Enom took the third spot with a 21.2 per cent growth with 136,897 new names.

Netcraft's Hosting Provider Switching Analysis shows that Go Daddy and eNom may be benefiting from speculative purchases and growing awareness of improvements in the domain resale market, Netcraft reports. One anticipated sale is that of whitehouse.com - a porn site often confused with whitehouse.gov - which gained widespread attention last month, amid media reports that men.com sold for $1.3 million in December.
