DNS Solutions Provider Nominum Partners with Government IT Firm Carahsoft

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – DNS solutions provider Nominum (www.nominum.com) announced on Thursday that it has partnered with government IT solutions provider Carahsoft Technology Corp. (www.carahsoft.com) to support Nominum’s government efforts.

With the partnership, Carahsoft will serve as a contract aggregator and government distribution partner, providing dedicated sales, marketing and resources to drive demand for Nominum solutions.

“With cyber threats against federal networks making headlines every day, it has never been more important to protect all aspects of our nation’s networks and the valuable data they transport,” Tom Tovar, CEO of Nominum said in a statement.  ”Nominum’s proven technology stops these threats at the DNS enabling government agencies to protect their network and data against these cyber threats. Nominum says this partnership enables it to “more aggressively pursue opportunities within the government market.” The company’s DNS solutions protect networks from security threats such as cache poisoning, DDoS attacks and leaked information.

Abod, Carahsoft president said. “Nominum’s products provide our customers with robust threat detection and mitigation solutions to keep their networks protected from cyber threats.”

On Tuesday Nominum announced that it has provided Virgin Media (www.virginmedia.com) with NavAssist and Vantio NXR for improved navigation assistance.
