DiscountASP.NET Offers Managed Team Foundation Server 2012 Hosting in Europe

Microsoft developer focused hosting provider DiscountASP.NET announced this week that it has launched its managed hosting for Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server 2012 in Europe, offering customers in the region private TFS instances running on dedicated virtual machines.

Team Foundation Server is a key component of many Microsoft platform software development projects, providing data collection, project tracking and other functions on the back end. In September DiscountASP.NET was one of the first hosting companies to begin supporting the new version of TFS 2012.

“We launched managed TFS 2012 hosting in our US data center last year and now we make the same service available in Europe,” says Takeshi Eto, VP marketing and business development at DiscountASP.NET. “With this premium hosting service, development teams can enjoy all the benefits of TFS 2012 without having to manage infrastructure.”

For hosting providers, establishing expertise in serving a certain user community – in some cases tied to a specific platform for software or website development – can be a very effective way of standing out in a market where services can begin to look very similar. DiscountASP.NET is one of a few managed hosting providers that has developed a real expertise and reputation for supporting developers working in the Microsoft environment.

Hosts specializing in the Microsoft platform specifically have the opportunity to work within a pretty well established ecosystem of developers. And Microsoft itself does a lot of work to create partnership opportunities linking those developers with hosting providers that specialize in the platform.

DiscountASP.NET is a Microsoft partner with the Gold Hosting Competency and a Visual Studio Partner.
