Digital River Lands WhiteCanyon Contract

November 10, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — E-commerce outsourcing firm Digital River (digitalriver.com) announced today the signing of an agreement with WhiteCanyon, a provider of personal identity theft protection software. Under the terms of the agreement, the Minnesota-based company built and launched WhiteCanyon?s online store and is providing Web hosting, e-marketing, fraud prevention, customer service and other digital and physical product fulfillment.

“By partnering with Digital River, companies get the operational and economic benefit of growing their online businesses through e-marketing best practices that extend across multiple e-commerce channels,” said Joel Ronning, CEO of Digital River. “For software publishers such as WhiteCanyon, we can increase exposure for their titles by merchandising them on a branded e-commerce site as well as marketing them through our online retail channel. The power of our e-commerce network has created a competitive advantage not only for our clients, but also for our company.”

WhiteCanyon’s e-commerce initiative is focused on promoting the company’s SecureClean and WipeDrive security software applications.

Prior to signing on with Digital River, WhiteCanyon ran its e-commerce operations in?house.
