March 24, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — E-commerce outsourcing provider Digital River Inc. (DigitalRiver.com) announced on Monday that it has signed an agreement with video compression technology developer DivXNetworks Inc. (DivX.com) for the building and hosting of the company’s e-commerce site.
Along with hosting the site, Digital river will provide DivXNetworks with order management, electronic software delivery, fraud prevention and e-marketing services, while supporting multiple payment options.
The DivXNetworks online store, says Digital River, features the latest release of the company’s DivX Pro software, version 5.0.3, which is designed to enable consumers to create DVD-quality digital video files at file sizes eight to ten times smaller than the DVD standard. To serve its global audience, says Digital River, the online store will support multiple payment options, including checks, money orders, wire transfers, credit cards and other preferred payment methods.
