March 26, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — E-commerce outsourcing provider Digital River (digitalriver.com) said earlier this week that it has expanded its existing e-commerce agreement with Matrix Games, a developer of online games and software. Under the new deal, Digital River designed, built and launched Matrix Games’ e-commerce Web site in addition to a site for its European-based operations. No financial terms were disclosed.
“In Digital River we have found a business partner that can help us meet the needs of our expanding domestic and international online business,” said David Heath, president of Matrix Games. “The company’s relationships with third-party fulfillment agencies lifted a barrier of entry into the European market for us. The risk and investment involved in establishing our own relationships previously were a deterrent. Now with Digital River’s help, we can cater to our global client base, further establish our international presence and focus on growing our business.”
Digital River is also providing Matrix Games with a range of online marketing services.
