June 3, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — E-commerce outsourcer Digital River Inc. (digitalriver.com) announced on Friday that it had acquired Web analytics service Fireclick, Inc.
Under the agreement terms, Digital River paid $7.5 million in cash. It also provides Fireclick the chance for an earn-out based on Digital River achieving a set revenue and profitability targets attributable to Fireclick over a three-year period following the close of the acquisition.
“We believe our combined organizations can offer the market one of the most comprehensive suites of e-commerce, e-marketing and analytics services,” says Digital River CEO Joel Ronning. “We look forward to working with Fireclick and its clients to enhance our e-commerce service suite and expand our presence among online retailers.”
