(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator Digital Realty Trust (www.digitalrealtytrust.com) recently posted a video in which executives of the data center REIT discuss their thoughts on pertinent issues within the industry, according to a report by Data Center Knowledge.
The video posting follows DRT’s recent collaboration with business continuity solutions provider Emerson Network Power for a five-stop world tour that discusses how energy efficiency-related cooling and measurement tactics can be used to reduce operating costs.
The feature, entitled “Myth of the Month,” starts off with the introduction, “The data center world moves pretty fast and unfortunately so does a good deal of misinformation.”
In the video, Chris Crosby, senior vice president of Digital Realty Trust, discusses the Myth of Modularity.
Crosby compares DRT’s approach to building a modular data center, comprised of a dedicated power infrastructure, to offerings that group the facility into modular units but use a shared power spine.
The video is designed to distinguish DRT’s offerings to its competitors in a clear and concise way, making it easier for prospective customers to follow.
Last week, search engine giant Google posted several YouTube videos that demonstrated the capabilities of its secret container data center.
