Digex is offering the Akamai EdgeSuite service to its enterprise clients asan integrated set of functionalities designed to reduce Internetinfrastructure complexities by extending the performance, scalability, andreliability benefits of content delivery across an entire Web site,including dynamic content. The service uses intelligent routing technologythat connects end-user requests to the most optimal server within Akamai’sdistributed computing platform for more efficient distribution of dynamiccontent, rich media, and Web and enterprise applications.
Digex clients work with Akamai and the Digex Application Optimization Center(AOC) to guide them through setup and provide support. The AOC will offersupport for Akamai clients and is an ISO 9001-2000 registered organizationdedicated to providing pre- and post-production application enhancement anddeployment services. Other AOC services include testing, migrations,profiling and code review.
