Digex Appoints Zimmerman as CFO

June 25, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider Digex Incorporated (Digex.com) announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Scott Zimmerman as the company?s chief financial officer.

Zimmerman had been filling the position of interim CFO since January of 2002.

The announcement closely follows a management change announced last Friday, in which former senior vice president of operations George Kerns succeeded Mark Shull as the company?s president and CEO.

“We’re delighted to announce Scott’s formal appointment as Digex’s CFO,” says Kerns. “Having been part of the Digex team since 1999, his strong financial background and his commitment to this role since January, Scott’s a key addition to our executive team.”

Zimmerman joined Digex in 1999 as vice president and controller, responsible for managing the company?s financial operations, including accounting, tax, SEC reporting and real estate operations. He has over 18 years of financial and information systems management experience, beginning with the finance organization of Bechtel Corporation and later serving as director of finance and controller for Web hosting firm Genuity.
