September 16, 205 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- E-commerce outsourcing provider Digital River (digitalriver.com) announced on Thursday it is providing downloadable software and e-commerce services for Microsoft's new Digital Locker on Windows Marketplace Labs (windowsmarketplacelabs.com).

Microsoft's Digital Locker enables users to download software from the portfolio of products available for Windows. Working through Digital River's oneNetwork online sales channel, Microsoft is providing its customers with easy access to various titles from Digital River's downloadable software catalogue.

"Through oneNetwork, we continue to create valuable relationships between tens of thousands of software publishers and resellers," says Joel Ronning, Digital River's CEO. "By working with industry leaders such as Microsoft, we can further expand this online community and reach more consumers in the digital marketplace with our extensive software catalogue."

Digital River is also managing the online transactions and downloads of software purchased from its catalogue, providing full customer support and fraud prevention services for these online software purchases. Once software is selected and purchased, Digital River delivers it to the consumer's secured personal Digital Locker, keeping track of shopping records, license information and product keys for easy reference.
