August 19, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Digital River Inc. (digitalriver.com), a leader in e-commerce outsourcing, announced on Thursday that it signed an online retail agreement with Toshiba's Digital Products Division, a laptop computers manufacturer and division of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc.

Under the agreement terms, Digital River recently built and launched a co-branded online store for Toshiba, allowing it to market and resell thousands of software titles from Digital River's extensive downloadable software library.

The new store can be accessed at www.toshibadirect.com, as well as through a desktop icon and in the Start menu of all new Toshiba laptop computers. Toshiba, for the first time, is offering downloadable software in addition to boxed software.
