DH Capital has named hosting veteran Sean Charnock the company's managing director.
Investment banking firm DH Capital announced on Tuesday it has named hosting veteran Sean Charnock the company’s managing director.
The appointment comes a few months after DH Capita partnered with SaaS Capital to launch a new fund designed to provide growth capital to emerging software-as-a-service businesses.
Charnock has over 15 years of experience in a range of high tech fields including telecommunications, complex hosting and Internet infrastructure-as-a-service.
Prior to DH Capital, he was co-founder and SVP of business development and alliances at SoftLayer Technologies.
During his tenure at SoftLayer, Charnock built and managed executive relationships with technology partners, technology vendors and financial partners of SoftLayer.
“We are thrilled to have Sean join the DH Capital team,” said Joe Duggan, chairman and co-founder of DH Capital. “Sean’s stellar reputation in the technology sector is well known and well deserved. Sean will bring considerable industry knowledge and experience to DH Capital and to our clients. His addition to our firm further strengthens our position as the leading advisor for M&A, capital placements, and consulting services to Internet Infrastructure companies.”
Previous to SoftLayer, Charnock served as part of the executive management team at The Planet Internet Services. He also served in multiple business development roles at Efficient Networks.
At the Hosting and Cloud Transformation Summit 2012, DH Capital CEO Peter Hopper presented on the company’s insight into the mergers and acquisitions activity in the hosting space, as well as some of the factors influencing valuations.
