October 19, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Top Layer Networks (toplayer.com) announced on Tuesday that network and hosting services provider Dexagon (dexagon.com) had deployed the Top Layer IPS 5500 intrusion prevention system to protect its hosting environment.

Dave Millier, partner with Dexagon, says Top Layer was chosen after a review of several competitors' products because of its protection mechanisms, performance and manageability.

"Dexagon customers rely on our network and Internet services to conduct business, so it is crucial that our operations are well-protected from the growing number and types of threats," says Millier. "As an integral part of our defense-in-depth strategy, the Top Layer IPS 5500?s robust intrusion prevention capabilities effectively protect our hosting environment while providing insightful reports and clear visibility into our server and network activity."
