September 22, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Dell (dell.com) announced today that pricing for its Dell PowerEdge servers pre-installed with Microsoft?s (microsoft.com) Windows Small Business Server 2003 suite, which includes the Windows Server 2003 platform and Exchange Server 2003, will start at $999.
“Because small businesses often have limited IT resources, it’s critical that their IT solutions are easy to use and offer the best value,” said Frank Muehleman, senior vice-president and general manager of Dell’s small and medium business division. “With today’s new offering, we’re giving these customers an affordable server solution with enterprise-class technology that allows them to be more competitive.”
The company said it is offering Windows Small Business Server 2003 across its line of PowerEdge SC and select PowerEdge tower servers.
