DediPower Debuts in Asia with Hong Kong Dedicated Hosting Operations

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Setting it sights firmly on the rapidly expanding Asian web hosting market, UK managed hosting and data center solutions provider DediPower (www.dedipower.com) has announced the launch of its new dedicated operations in Hong Kong.

According to DediPower’s Monday announcement, enterprises in Asia will have access to server solutions based on custom-built dedicated servers though DediPower’s Hong Kong-based managed hosting operations, underpinned by a world-class hosting infrastructure designed to ensure the highest levels of network uptime, availability, flexibility and security.

Helping it deliver high levels of local service and support to customers like its UK operations, the new center of Asian operations will help fuel its growth and success in the Asian complex hosting market, which Tier1 Research (www.t1r.com) expects to surpass $1 billion by 2011.

“With China, Japan and India currently opening up to US and European businesses such as financial institutions, e-commerce and ISV’s, Hong Kong is seen as a ‘de facto’ stepping stone to the region,” Tier1 Research research director Antonio Piraino stated, noting that the complex hosting market in Asia will grow from roughly 3 to 7 percent of the global market share of the global managed hosting market by 2011.

As Asia is expected to be a major region of managed complex hosting growth over the next few years, DediPower chief executive officer Craig Martin said DediPower’s dedicated presence makes sound strategic and commercial sense.

“We see Asia as the next big market for dedicated managed hosting,” Martin said in a statement. “It represents a hotbed of technical innovation and commercial activity that will springboard a new wave of growth; both from indigenous business and from those seeking to gain entry to this lucrative market. Hong Kong’s ‘neutrality’ in the region; outstanding employee work ethic; access to multilingual workforce; and flexible regulatory framework makes it the ideal location to base our Asian hosting and data center business.”
