(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — With more than 30 years of combined experience, a group of Internet professionals have created a new company, Dedico (www.dedico.com), which offers dedicated servers, colocation, IP transit, redundant backup services, voice and data telecommunications, and web design.
According to the new company’s Wednesday announcement, Dedico is housed in a Tier-4 Dallas data center and uses its own fully redundant Cisco Catalyst-based core networking platform.
Opening shop during the global recession, Dedico founders said they embrace the “trying economic times” and will pursue an “aggressive yet fiscally responsible business structuring and product development initiatives.” The company will be built from the ground up with a lean business model.
Dedico has already unveilled a variety of dedicated server options including a line of versatile burstable servers, starting at $199 per month, with virtually no equipment limitations and bandwidth restrictions, and the ability to burst up to a Gigabyte per second or even 2 Gbps with tuning.
