DataMotion Asia Pacific to Upgrade India Data Center

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Secure information exchange company DataMotion Asia Pacific (www.datamotion.asia) announced on Monday it is making a significant investment in upgrading a data center in Bangalore, India data center, according to a report by Silicon India.

The company revealed the news in a quarterly update ASX statement, stating it would invest about $1 million from a recent capital raising rights issue to finance the search for a profitable technology based acquisition target.

The acquisition will expand the company’s portfolio and use Datamotion’s existing technologies and data center.

The company will also use funds from the rights issue to upgrade the DataMotion Asia Pacific data center into a “boutique high-end hosting facility”.

The move will help Datamotion capitalize on the lack of commercial data center space in Western Australia, and provide additional incoming revenue.

The company is also seeking a partnership opportunity with SingTel Optus and Alphawest Services to lend out its data center to host customer equipment and managed services.

DataMotion provides a range of solutions including email encryption, large file transfers, electronic forms and programmatic APIs.
