Data303 Expands Internap Routing Use

April 15, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Performance-based routing service provider Internap (internap.com) announced on Wednesday that Data393 (data393.com), a Web hosting and colocation provider based in Denver, has expanded its use of Internap’s routing services to keep up with its growth in customer demand.

Through the agreement, Data393 will use Internap’s gigabit Ethernet connections to link its colocation center with private network access point facilities from Internap. Data393 has also selected Internap’s premised-based Flow Control Platform (FCP Model 500), which will provide route control and management capabilities between Data393′s various locations.

“We’ve been very impressed with Internap and had no question in expanding our relationship with them,” said Lee Woodward, president of Data393. “We needed the extra capacity to handle the traffic generated by our fast growth. The FCP product suite provides us with even more flexibility in helping our customers optimize their Internet performance and manage costs across multi-homed solutions.”

Woodward said the Internap enhancements allow Data393 to connect with eight Tier 1 providers.

Data393 merged with Ventures Online and Huge Hosting earlier this year, adding more than 10,000 customers.
