(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center provider Telehouse with parent company KDDI announced on Tuesday that it has launched a portfolio of enterprise cloud solutions. Telecloud will be deployed within Telehouse data centers, according to the press release.
The Telecloud portfolio will include the provision of cloud infrastructure, managed cloud environments, a public virtual data center, storage, disaster recovery and software as a service solutions.
“Telecloud is a joint venture between two industry leaders. It marks the next stage in the evolution of Europe’s first purpose-built data center provider and a step forward for the cloud industry,” Tokuji Mitsui, managing director of KDDI and Telehouse Europe said in a statement. “The data center is at the heart of a cloud solution making the physical infrastructure the integral role in maintaining the reliability and accessibility of a company’s application. That is why the partnership of Telehouse and KDDI brings a new unique perspective to the cloud market.”
“A number of our customers who could not compromise on reliability, security and latency have turned to us to provide them with a private cloud solution hosted from a securely protected environment,” Nick Layzell, head of system integration and cloud solutions, KDDI, said in a statement. “Over 20 years of experience in giving businesses the confidence to trust third party vendors with their mission-critical applications, positions Telecloud as an ideal cloud migration partner.”
This announcement comes a week after TELEHOUSE America opened its 220,000 square foot data center in Frankfurt.
