Data center operator Quality Technology Services announced on Wednesday it has named veteran technology industry executives Dan Bennewitz and Jim Reinhart to senior executive management roles.

The move comes a couple weeks after QTS established a new Sustainability and Recoveries Group which focuses on green data center practices.

The new hires are designed to restructure QTS’ executive management team to focus on its “aggressive development and execute its rapid growth strategy,” according to the press release.

Bennewitz has been appointed QTS’ chief operating officer of sales and marketing, and will lead the company’s sales and marketing efforts, as well as cloud services.

He previously served more than 30 years at IBM in a series of sales, marketing and executive management positions in the United States and internationally.

Most recently, Bennewitz served as vice president of IBM sales model, where he led IBM’s go-to-market transformation. He also served as vice president of the East region of the US, where he led IBM’s software, hardware and services businesses.

Additionally, Bennewitz led IBM’s US communications and healthcare industries and served as managing director of sales for IBM Japan and vice president of global mainframe server sales.

Reinhart has been appointed chief operations officer of development and operations to guide QTS’s development, service delivery and operations. He has more than 25 years of managerial experience, including leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies.

He comes to QTS from Genworth, where he held executive roles in operations, technology, strategy and marketing. Reinhart also previous served in managerial roles at Capital One and Hewlett-Packard.

“As QTS looks to build on our rapid growth, having the proper leadership in place is critical,” said Chad Williams, CEO of QTS. “I could not be more excited that we have been able to round out our executive team with the additions of Dan and Jim. Both are exceptional leaders with the wide-ranging experience, collaborative management styles and value systems that will support our continued performance growth. Organizing leadership under these two executives will improve the coordination of our initiatives and empower our team to leverage our portfolio and product set to execute against our accelerating growth strategy.”
