(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center infrastructure management solutions provider SynapSense (www.synapsense.com) announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its operations to the greater Asia Pacific region to meet demand for the company’s data center optimization platform.
This news comes a few months after SynapSense raised $16 million in Series C financing led by Crosslink Capital. According to SynapSense’s July announcement, the investment helped to provide global support for data center operations.
As part of the expansion, SynapSense plans to open an office in Singapore to serve as its Asia hub of operations. The office will provide technical support to existing customers as well as sales support for potential new customers in the Asia Pacific region. SynapSense says it is actively looking for candidates to expand its Asia team of engineers and project managers.
“SynapSense solutions are being rapidly adopted worldwide by leading data center operators seeking to optimize their energy efficiency, and our expansion to Asia will help us better support our growing list of customers and meet the surging demand for our technology in the region,” Peter Van Deventer, CEO of SynapSense, said in a statement.
According to the press release, at the core of the SynapSense Data Center Optimization Platform is its Active Control solution that optimizes data center efficiency by continuously aligning cooling capacity and saves customers up to 50 percent of cooling costs.
SynapSense says its data center optimization platform has been deployed worldwide. The company has received numerous green awards inlduing being named to the 2011 Global Clean Tech 100, the AlwaysOn 2011 GoingGreen Global 200 Top Private Companies and a 2011 California Clean Technology “Game Changer.”
