(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Modular data center provider IO announced on Friday that it has made three executive appointments. IO named Rick Crutchley, VP of Western region sales, Rich Nisivoccia, VP of Eastern region sales and Elizabeth Kubycheck, SVP, marketing and communications.

This announcement comes less than two weeks after IO announced that IT consulting firm Solugenix uses its data center as a service at IO Phoenix.

IO says the appointments come as demand for modular data center deals increases.

“We are seeing incredible demand for our modular data center technology platform. We are continuing to invest in our customer-facing teams; attracting top industry talent,” chief sales and marketing officer of IO Anthony J. D’Ambrosi said in a statement. “We look forward to accelerating customer traction even more in 2012 with this talented team.”

VP of Western region sales Rick Crutchley will be responsible for leading IO’s efforts to expand its data center 2.0 modular software and hardware business. Prior to IO, he was VP global sales at CoreLink Data Centers. According to the press release, Crutchley has more than 14 years of experience in senior sales roles at companies including CyberTrails and SunGuard.

With Crutchley’s appointment, Kindra Martone now serves as chief of staff for IO.

Rich Nisivoccia, VP or eastern region sales, will lead the sales team responsible for its modular IO New Jersey data center. He has experience leading sales teams including Cisco and IBM. He received his B.S. from NJIT and MBA from Rutgers.

As SVP, marketing and communications, Elizabeth Kubycheck, is responsible for providing executive leadership and management for IO’s global marketing strategy. Kubycheck has more than 13 years of international and domestic marketing, communications and sales support leadership in public companies. Prior to IO, Kubycheck was VP of marketing, communications and sales operations at CIBER Inc.
