CrystalTech Offers 64-bit Servers

November 1, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) –  Web hosting provider CrystalTech Web Hosting (crystaltech.com) announced on Thursday it is offering a new line of Windows and Linux dedicated server plans which features Intel based Dual and Quad-Core processors on a server standard Intel 64-bit infrastructure.

CrystalTech provides Web hosting services on 64-bit servers with Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate, currently available from Microsoft. The new dedicated Linux plan will feature CentOS 5 along with the latest versions of Apache, PHP and MySQL.

“The move to multi-core processors places CrystalTech at the forefront of server technology and will offer customers fast, reliable and energy-efficient performance that can handle data and processor-intensive Web applications,” says Robert Cichon, president of CrystalTech. “Our new dedicated servers not only provide tremendous power, but also one of the most highly anticipated operating systems from Microsoft.”

CrystalTech has also added a Diskeeper/McAfee bundle as an add-on option, providing customers a cost-effective way to help maintain and protect their servers.
