April 25, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting control panel software provider cPanel (cpanel.com) announced on Thursday that it has released an up-to-date schedule for its third annual 2008 cPanel Conference (cpanel.net/conference/08/). The event is being held from June 11 to 13 at the Westin Oaks Galleria in Houston, Texas.
The company says that this year’s conference will be more in depth with more advanced topics than in previous years and will feature guest speakers in addition to a panel discussion with cPanel developers and techs.
Some of the topics that will be discussed include server security, troubleshooting, and cPanel’s EasyApache 3, which will be addressed and explained in greater depth, says the company.
With the upcoming spring release of cPanel Server Suite for Windows, many of the sessions will also be geared towards the new product and how it will enhance Windows-based hosting operations.
Additionally, Attendees will be able to meet representatives from exhibitors and vendors including Microsoft, Cloudmark, Trustwave, The Planet, Soho Launch and Bobcares.
“This will be our third year for the conference and this one promises to have more information and tips then previous years,” says J. Nick Koston, cPanel’s CEO. “We strongly recommend that anyone using cPanel as a server administrator, decision maker, or developer attend this conference.”
Registration is set at $60 per attendee and conference-goers will get the opportunity to network with vendors and software plugin developers as well as service providers that deploy cPanel. The company will also be providing a cocktail reception on the evening of June 11 as well as a dinner party for all vendors and attendees on June 12.
Within the industry, there has been a growing trend for companies to hold events for their clients and partners. Within the next few months, Web hosting software provider Parallels will be holding its third annual Parallels Summit 2008 and Layered Technologies will be holding its third annual LTPact event.
