(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting control panel developer cPanel (www.cpanel.com) announced on Thursday that its cPanel Conference 2011 (bootcamp.cpanel.net) will kick off on Monday, October 10, 2011 in Austin.

This announcement comes a month after the WHIR received some images of the in-progress cPanel update from an anonymous source.

According to the press release, the opening reception will be a casino night sponsored by OnApp. The conference will begin Tuesday morning.

cPanel says its conference has broken all attendance, exhibitor and session records from previous years. According to the press release, almost 400 attendees and exhibitors have registered for the conference which is a 40 percent increase from last year.

In September, cPanel announced the details of its new certification program, cPanel University.

This year’s conference has 36 technical and informational sessions spread across three tracks – developer, admin and learning.

“With the unveiling of cPanel certification and training, a special contest, a spectacular lineup of speakers and exhibitors along with a few interplanetary guests, this will be an out-of-this-world experience,” Ben Fisher, director of marketing for cPanel said in a statement.

Fisher was appointed to the position in in August.

Registration is still open for the cPanel conference on its website, according to the press release.

WHIR editor-in-chief Liam Eagle will be reporting from the conference.
