(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting control panel provider cPanel (www.cpanel.com) announced on Monday the details of its fourth annual conference and networking event (http://conference.cpanel.net), held on October 5 to 7 at the Houston Hilton Americas in downtown Houston.
Last year’s 2008 cPanel Conference took place June 11 to 13 at the Westin Oaks Galleria in Houston.
The company says it decided to change the venue and date for this year’s event to meet increased demand.
This year’s event, which is unofficially dubbed “The Unmetered Learning Tour”, will include the traditional networking events and many new topics, including advanced system administration, Enkompass training, and sales training.
The company has taken into account feedback from last year’s event, adding new sessions that it says will provide “quality training for technical and sales engineers who engage with hosting automation on a daily basis.”
The cPanel Conference will start with a reception and networking event on the evening of October 5. Technical sessions will begin on October 6, which will be followed in the evening with a dinner at the Hilton, and a second networking event.
The company invites individuals and companies to register, apply as speakers, and apply for an exhibitor’s booth on its website.
The company expects the event to reach capacity, encouraging prospective individuals to register early and vendors who wish to exhibit to apply early.
“In planning this year’s event, we really took into consideration past feedback, the type of attendees, and product changes since last year to develop what I consider one of the best learning-based events of the year,” says Eric Gregory of cPanel. “It is very exciting for the entire staff to personally connect and provide important knowledge that helps make using our product more enjoyable.”
The conference will also feature live, on-site technical assistance, while cPanel’s design and interface experts will be onsite to discuss and provide tips on the customization of cPanel for an organization.
cPanel is now offering early bird registration until August 20.
The past few years has seen a rise in the popularity of vendor-sponsored conferences, which are designed to help partners grow their businesses while offering networking opportunities.
This year alone have seen high-profile conferences from Parallels, Microsoft, and Verio.
