March 4, 2003 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Broadband service provider Covad Communications (Covad.com) announced on Tuesday that it has introduced a new set of broadband services for small business, including Web hosting packages starting at less than $20 per month when bundled with access service.

Covad says its new hosting services include email, Webmail, an easy-to-use Web site building tool and Web reports. All of the company's hosting and access services also include free anti-virus protection and spam protection, an online account management tool and live customer phone support.

According to Tom Thayer, Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Covad Broadband Services, the company's new services are aimed and small and medium-sized business that are "price sensitive" and not interested in becoming technical experts. "[Customers] want people who are easy to do business with," he says.

The company offers an email-only plan and three Web hosting plans, designed to address the needs of small business. An email only plan is available for $9.95 per month, while Web hosting plans range from $19.95 per month to $79.95 per month when bundled with Access service and are accompanied by a range of features that include 24x7 support, Web site templates and a 30 day satisfaction guarantee.
