(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Technology consulting and solutions provider Corus360 (www.corus360.com) announced on Tuesday it has competed its anticipated LEED Gold certified data center in Atlanta.
The data center, located on the bottom floor of the company’s 30,000-square-foot office building at 130 Technology Parkway in Norcross, Georgia, is the first of its kind in the state.
The new data center completes the company’s vision for a LEED Gold certified building and IT managed services facility.
Through environmentally responsible designs and operations, Corus360 projects the data center will achieve a 27 percent reduction in energy consumption, resulting in cost and energy savings in server, storage, cooling and power distribution.
“Corus360′s investment in creating a LEED Gold certified building and data center is an investment in our clients and our future,” says Tom Lowry, COO of Corus360. “The new data center, equipped with environmentally-conscious and efficient technology services, marks a milestone for all of us at Corus360.”
The green data center is in keeping with Corus360′s Green LITE practice, which works with businesses to reduce energy consumption through a range of efficient strategies, including asset discoveries, virtualization and consolidation strategies, power and cooling studies and storage assessments.
Through Green LITE best practices, Corus360 customers learn environmentally friendly and sustainable ways to reduce operating costs and increase efficiency.
The company anticipates receiving LEED Gold certification for its data center the first quarter of 2010.
Corus360 will be hosting an open house event on January 27 from 3 to 7 p.m.
