Corio Deploys Oracle 11i for Ingersoll-Rand

May 2, 2002 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Enterprise Application Service Provider Corio (Corio.com) yesterday announced the completion of the Oracle 11i deployment for customer Ingersoll-Rand, a major industrial manufacturing firm.

Corio said the project, which was part of an expanding IT alliance between the two companies, saw Corio and IR teams work closely together to upgrade Oracle Financials, human resources and procurement applications. Oracle 11i is the latest version of the company’s popular Web-enabled business management software suite.

“The collaboration between Corio and our internal team exemplifies the successful IT strategic alliance that we strive for at Ingersoll-Rand,” said Steve Carrington, VP of Technology Services of Ingersoll-Rand. “We achieved impressive results – an Oracle upgrade and deployment in less than 100 days. Given this success, we expect to break-even on our investment in the first year and achieve a significant cost savings over the life of the contract.”
