(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Expanding its data center capacity by an initial 20,000 square feet, IT infrastructure solutions provider CoreXchange (www.corexchange.com) has launched the first phase of its new Dallas data center, the CoreXchange Connection, to meet a growing demand for managed colocation infrastructure from existing and new customers.
According to its Wednesday announcement, CoreXchange customers at the new facility, located at 8600 Harry Hines Boulevard, can colocate their servers and applications with the same level of Tier-1 Internet backbone and carrier access, performance, and customer support as those customers in the CoreXchange Dallas Infomart facility. Located only eight miles from downtown Dallas and two miles from Love Field Airport, the CoreXchange Connection has the capacity to expand to 100,000 square feet to meet ongoing customer demand.
“Offering the highest performing network and service customization, we’ll continue to deliver the best customer solution for the best possible price,” CoreXchange sales executive Julia Morgan said in a statement. “And with more data center capacity and a growing list of network backbone partners, we’ll have even greater opportunity to create satisfied customers.”
Using CoreXchange’s proprietary bandwidth Pricing Configurator tool, customers can create a network access profile that best meets their requirements from the CoreXchange multi-homed mesh of BGP-routed, Tier-1 backbone carriers and cross-connects to all major carriers, including a direct connection to the Dallas Equinix facility.
The CoreXchange Connection features enterprise-class fault tolerance, featuring a redundant UPS, and backup power generation, and cooling capacity. It also has a 24-hour staffed network operations center, and free remote technical support and network-layer managed services.
Earlier this year, CoreXchange added a point of presence at Telx’s (www.telx.com) Dallas data center at 8435 Stemmons Freeway.
