(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation and managed network services provider CoreXchange (www.corexchange.com) has introduced enterprise-level managed firewall solutions designed to provide affordable security to small and medium-sized businesses.
According to its recent announcement, CoreXchange multiple managed firewall packages include initial consultation and configuration and ongoing management by CoreXchange’s expert team of technicians and network engineers. All managed firewall solutions are built with industry leading equipment from Cisco (www.cisco.com) and Juniper (www.juniper.net).
“Our new managed firewall offering is a cost-effective and flexible solution for businesses of all sizes,” CoreXchange information technology and networking vice president Chris Turbeville said in a statement. “The service is based on security capabilities, hardware features, and expertise once normally available only to the largest IT enterprises.”
Further, CoreXchange provides customers with advise on hardware, scaling, network design, security zones and policies, and configuration changes to best support their applications.
CoreXchange managed firewall solutions are currently bundled with the two hardware platforms: Cisco ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances, and Juniper SRX-series Services Gateways. The Cisco ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliance supports a wide range of environments from small office to the most demanding requiring high-scalability multi-gigabit throughput and ultra low latency.
Featuring Dynamic Services Architecture, The Juniper SRX 210 and 240 models are able to scale integrated security and network capabilities simultaneously and provide the consistency of a single “carrier-class” operating system and integrated security, while reducing the total cost of ownership.
These managed firewall solutions are the latest addition to CoreXchange’s comprehensive solution portfolio it manages from its headquarters located at the Dallas Infomart (www.infomartusa.com) building. Its services include colocation, high performance network connectivity, Internet access, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
