ControlCircle Rents 100 Global Switch Racks

Europe's largest purpose-built carrier neutral data center, the 10-story-tall Global Switch 2 features more than 700,000 square feet of space.

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — High-availability networking company ControlCircle (www.controlcircle.com) has leased 100 racks in Global Switch’s (www.globalswitch.com) London 2 data center, forming a suite that stretches out over 10 levels of high-performance space.

Global Switch 2 is Europe’s largest purpose-built carrier neutral data center. ControlCircle, whose services include data storage, dedicated hosting and managed services, has taken every measure to ensure that security within the suite is impenetrable from attack, according to the company’s announcement last week. The suite features floor-to-ceiling racks, under-floor barriers and 24/7 closed-circuit television monitoring.

“The high demand for data centre space has been the driving force behind our decision to take such a large space at Global Switch 2,” ControlCircle chief executive officer Damian Milkins said in a statement. “We’re very excited by the speed at which the racks are filling up.”

In recognition of the company’s growth in the marketplace, ControlCircle was named Growth Business of the year at the Thames Gateway Business Awards 2008 in November.
